CALL FOR WORKS - ISCM WMD 2016, TONGYEONG– SOUNDS OF TOMORROW

2016 äger ISCMs WMD i Hongyeong, Sydkorea. Svenska sektionen ISCM emot era bidrag för den svenska uttagningen till ISCM Tongyeong 2016 t.o.m den 15 augusti. Information om den internationella uttagningen finns på http://worldmusicdays2016.kr/call-for-scores/rules/. Förutom de sedvanliga kategorierna finns även kategorier som t ex musik för barn och olika sorts installationer, se nedan:

1.Symphony orchestra (without soloist)
max 2+1.2+1.2+1.2+1.-4.3.3.1./ tmp, perc3/ pf, hp /strings, duration max. 15 min
percussion may include bass drum, snare drum, cymbals, triangle, slap stick, guiro,
xylophone, vibraphone, marimba,gong, conga, sleigh bells, bongo, tubular bells,

2.Chamber Orchestra (without soloist)
2222-2200/ tmp,perc/ strings 86442/ duration max. 15 min
percussion may include bass drum,cymbals, chimes, vibraphone, marimba, glockenspiel,
xylophone, snare drum, cymbals, triangle, gongs
3. Ensemble (with or without Korean traditional instrument) 3 to 10 instruments to choose
from: 2vn, va, vc, db, fl, ob, cl, bn, Daegeum or Gayageum, dur. max. 10 min
4.Ensemble (with or without Solo voice)
solo voice (S/A/T/B), and between 3 and 9 instruments to be chosen from: 2vn, va, vc, db,
fl, ob, cl, bn, duration max. 10 min. Added electronics possible (up to 4 speakers / 4
channels available/ real time availble/ audio-visual available)
5.Mixed choir 10/10/10/10, duration max. 10 min
6.String Quartet duration max. 10 min
7.Brass Quintet duration max. 10 min
8.Music for Children
a) Piano Solo max. 5 min
b) Vn/ Voice with piano accompaniment max. 5 min
9.Solo instrument / mixed media
solo instrument (flute, clarinet, violin, cello) with or without electronics, or electronics
without instruments (live or pre-recorded, up to 4 speakers / 4 channels available/ real time
availble/ audio-visual available), duration max. 10 min
10.Musical Fairytale for Children
narrator and ensemble of between 3 and 9 players to choose from pf, 2vn, va, vc, db, fl, cl,
perc, duration max 30 min incl. narration.
11.Installations
• sound installations linked to existing festival spots/venues, i.e. Isang Yun Memorial
Theme Park, Concert Hall terrace, Concert Hall rooftop terrace, concert hall
driveway
• sculptures with sound installations, where the sculptures are provided by the artists
• virtual (sound) gates: small sound installations, which can be placed inside or
outside the concert venues

Den svenska uttagningens deadline är satt till den 15 augusti 2015. Eftersom Tongyeong
vill ha alla inskick senast den 31 augusti kommer vi att snart därefter kungöra vilka verk
som har valts av den svenska juryn så att ni som vill hinner göra ett individuellt inskick (till
en kostnad av 50€; den svenska uttagningen är som vanligt gratis).

I ansökan ska finnas:
1. Completed and signed application form available on the
World Music Days 2015 website: http://www.worldmusicdays2016.kr/application
2. 2 copies of the score as PDF, or in the case of compositions/projects without a written
score – audio/video documentation.
3. Wherever possible, an audio or video recording of the work
4. A short biography of the composer in English (max 150 words)
5. Programme notes of the submitted work in English (max 150 words)
6. Technical rider with the specification of all equipment that is necessary to perform the
work
7. Current photograph of the composer (artist picture)
8. Website of the composer or the publisher if available

Eftersom vi måste skicka in allt strax efter sista deadline måste vi insistera på att allt finns
med och att inga kompletteringar tillåts, annars kommer vi inte kunna skicka in verken till
Korea i tid.
