Stellar Competition – Edition Svitzer International Composition Competition

Stellar is an international composer competition developed by Danish publishing house Edition Svitzer and launched in 2021. This year all participants are required to submit solo marimba compositions. You’ll have to have written the composition in 2021. The purpose of the competition is to incentivize the creation of new pieces. The minimum duration is 3 minutes.

All submissions have to be presented with a PDF Score together with a generated sound recording. The sound recording can either be performed by a real artist or generated by computer software.

There are two participation categories:

• Category A is for works on the intermediate level (4.3 or 5.0 octaves).
• Category B is for works on the advanced level (5.0 octaves).

The participants in the Stellar Competition will be competing over cash prizes, publicity packages, and much more, and a highly qualified international jury will decide on the winners of each award. The entrance fee for participants is 5 USD.
