The Red Sound Bench Open Call for Sound Artists

Spazioersetti, in collaboration with Audiorama and the municipality of San Vito al Tagliamento, is inviting musicians, performers and sound artists to submit audio works connected with the theme of domestic violence for the Red Sound Bench project.

A Red Sound Bench will be permanently installed in the public garden Parco Altan Rota in San Vito al Tagliamento in Italy, in contribution to the Italian national campaign ”Panchine Rosse” (red benches) to raise public awareness of domestic abuse and domestic violence against women.

The exhibition will inaugurate on March 8th – the International Women’s Day. Selected work will be exhibited for a minimum of two months during 2021. The call is open to artists of any nationality and of any age.

Submitted works must satisfy the following criteria:

Format

• RAW audio 44.1KHz/16bit or 48KHz/24bit.
• From 1 to 4 syncronized channels.
• Any duration.
• Audio will loop. Volume will fade out when no one is sitting.
• Frequency range: 60Hz – 17kHz (no subwoofer).

• The bench is a vis-à-vis model with 4 encapsulated speakers
