1st Mieczysław Karłowicz International Composers’ Competition

We are happy to invite you to participate in the 1st Mieczysław Karłowicz International Composers’ Competition which is about to begin. The competition prize fund is 100 000 PLN (1st – 50 000, 2nd – 30 000, and 3rd – 20 000 PLN). The contest should inspire the composition for the full philharmonic orchestra, with the duration between 9 and 12 minutes. We expect new and original works, neither previously published nor performed or awarded in any other competitions. Online submissions are open from 1 April until 31 August 2020. The results of the first stage will be announced in September; the works selected for the final stage will be premiered, and the overall winner announced, at the Szczecin Philharmonic on the 20th November 2020. Apart from main prizes, the Audience Award as well as the Orchestra Award will be also conferred.
