Call for scores Riot Ensemble

Two chosen composers will write new works for soprano, flute, two percussionists and harpsichord.  The chosen composers will receive:

Rehearsals and public premiere of their new work on the final concert of the 2015 Riot Ensemble concert season.
A professional AV recording of their piece.
A broadcast on ResonanceFM.

Fee
Each composer will also receive a £300 commission fee for the work.

Eligibility
Any composer not currently represented on the Riot Ensemble 2015 season is eligible to apply.

What to Submit
Using the form below, please submit:

Your name, e-mail address and (optionally) your phone number.
We will not share your information with any third parties.
Your current Resume/CV
PDF files of two recent scores (within the last 5 years).  These pieces may be for any instrumentation – we simply want your best work!
Links to Soundcloud recordings of these pieces.  Soundcloud is a free service where you can upload and share recordings publicly and/or privately.

Entry Fee
We are charging a small entry fee of £10.  All funds raised from this call for scores will go directly to musicians involved in the concert in which these works will be premiered.  Please pay the fee using the same e-mail that you register with in the form below.  Any composer who has attended two or more of our 2014 concerts will have this fee waived.  Simplylet us know if this applies to you by sending us an e-mail listing the concerts you attended in 2014. 

Deadline
All entries – including entrance fee – must be received by 11:59pm GMT on Saturday 31st January.

Process
Entries will firstly be judged against eligibility and a short list will then be drawn up by The Riot Ensemble’s Artistic Board.  The winning composers will then be chosen by a panel including musicians performing in the concert.  The winning composers will be announced no later than 1st March with the final pieces due on 10th October.
