Om Emil Wingstrand

Since 2013 I have been writing narrative music, especially opera. I’m interested in the relation between music and drama and to explore different aesthetic musical worlds like Western-genre music or writing music based on architectural functionalism. Also, I’ve always been fascinated by the balance between easily accessible music and challenging, experimental music.

I have studied composition at Framnäs Folkskola, The Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and one exchange term at Conservatorio di Milano ’G. Verdi’.
