Create! Compose! Combine!

When SPOR festival takes place between 8th - 11th May 2014 in Aarhus, focus is on how we create music together. The goal of this year's festival is to kick start new collaborations between international and Danish artists and provide a platform for exchange and resource sharing.

We are extremely proud and have great expectations to the collaboration with this year's guest curator, the London-based composer and performer Jennifer Walshe. She comments on this year's theme:
"SPOR 2014 focuses on the ability of the individual to take on multiple roles. Composers who are engaged through their activities as performers, filmmakers, installation artists and writers. Performers opening up their territory to include playing instruments outside of their training, using their voices and bodies, developing new strategies of training and performance. This spirit of openness, of spread-ability, of an expanded sense of engagement and the joy and curiosity, which accompany it is key to the composers and performers presented here."

Discover how new collaborations between the established and independent art scene, between the experienced artists and the young talents unfold. Here the audience plays an important role in bringing it all together on a higher level, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to SPOR festival 2014.
